17th February and the edges of the big pond are deep in frogspawn again. How do they do it? It’s always the same day! However their calendars work, it is always a pleasure to see, although I do note this year that there’s not much visible action – probably keeping their heads below water in anticipation of Storm Eunice!
Well, it’s certainly all happening down at the pond. The wildlife are almost taking over. After the millions of tadpoles came the newts, popping up to the surface for a breath of air then diving back down.
