The trophy has landed

This morning Chris Moncrieff, the Head of Horticultural Relations, called in to present us with our new trophy.
Briefly the sun shone, but not for long, so we had the ceremony indoors.

We then ventured out into the (wet) garden to give him a taste of what all our lovely visitors get during the summer months.

Needless to say, Oreo got in on the act by the pond and even came up into the treehouse with us.

Thanks to Chris for taking the time to see all around the garden, despite the weather and also to our neighbour, Nick, for taking the photos.
PS: Apparently Horticultural Relations (Chris’ job title) doesn’t mean your Uncle working in the garden!
Many Congratulations! Delighted you have so deservedly won the Partner Garden of the Year. It is just a shame that the write-up obliterates a beautiful picture of your swimming pond, but it will be enough to whet the appetite of many RHS members to visit to see for themselves the wonders of your secret garden hidden in the Black Mountains.
Thanks Jenny
We haven’t seen the printed version yet — Post Office strikes I presume.
Thanks again for your lovely comment.
