WORKSHOP 3 – Managing the Garden as it Changes: Must We Weed? – Sunday 8th June

The third workshop is early summer. Biennials like foxgloves and mullein are still flowering, seedlings need potting on. It’s definitely hotting up and, even if there’s little rain, things are growing fast. The garden will be in full flower.

We’ll be looking at later stages of natural succession, and how to manage change in the garden. We’ll also look at that thorny problem of weeding and how to build plant communities.

Outside, we will be looking mainly at the cottage garden and the riverside.
