WORKSHOP 2 – The Beginnings of Natural Succession: Seeds, Self-seeders and Natives -Sunday 11th May
This workshop is in late spring. Bulbs are flowering and there’ll be bluebells, campion and wild garlic in the woods, cow parsley in the verges. Perennials are emerging again, self-seeders are germinating and there’s still time to sow seed too.
We will look at different types of plants and the early stages of natural succession, growing plants from seed, using self-seeders in the wild garden, and the pros and cons of growing natives.
We’ll be delving into Sue’s potting shed, greenhouses and cold frames as well as looking at what is emerging in the garden.
