WORKSHOP 4 – Meadows and mowing, Experimenting, Seed-collecting, and Forward Planning – Sunday 20th July
The final workshop is in high summer with a glance at autumn. By July, the peak flowering will be starting to wane, foliage is at its fullest and we often get wind and rain. The garden may be beginning to get out of control and shapeless!
We will look at what we mean by ‘maintenance’, at meadows, mowing regimes and the advantages and disadvantages of planting straight into grass, collecting seed, and even think about autumn planning and managing change for the following year.
In the garden we’ll concentrate on the meadow, and Sue’s potager, with a look at the cottage garden if there’s time.
