November Newsletter

This bumper issue of the the Newsletter went out to subscribers earlier in the month, so if you want to get it straight to your Inbox every other month just drop us a line at garden@nantybedd.com. I can’t believe that we have been doing the Newsletter for 6 years now and we are still finding new things to tell you about.

We opened up this issue to some of our friends to write pieces and so we have a lovely description of the making of our new tree sculpture from Mick Petts, some views on our forest by our trainee gardener Lara Christen and an introduction to a new workshop from Debbie Wilson who will be leading the three sessions next year (see pages 10/11).

I had hoped to find a wee space to add some comments on the bottom of Mick’s piece but there wasn’t room. I’d been planning to say that I offered a few ‘helpful’ ideas as he was carving. The first was “can you make it mechanised so that the fronds can open and close as the seasons change?” The second was “what colour green paint do you think will be best for it?” For some reason the answers to both were very short and not too complimentary!! Read his article and you might understand why!
