On the box again!

Monday 2nd October 9pm. Put the date in your diary.

Our second TV appearance of the year will be in Caroline Quentin’s programme on the UK’s National Parks. Caroline is a former President of the Campaign for National Parks and also a very keen gardener. She came here back in April with the film crew and spent time with us and our forager extraordinaire, Liz Knight.

Caroline and Sue in the potager

According to the production company’s website:

Across the 4 part series, Caroline will visit the most beautiful locations within the National Parks and learn how they function, what draws people to them, and how they intend to sustain and grow in the future

Each episode, Caroline will be looking at a different aspect of the National Parks; including Views, Valleys & Vistas; Structures, Sites & Souvenirs; Plants, Produce & Pastimes; and Land, Sea & Air!

Caroline being fed ‘weeds’ by Liz!

The series goes out on More4 (hopefully that means something to those who have a telly-thing). Each episode is 60 minutes long, so you may have to wait a while to see our smiley faces. Sue and I were both ‘interviewed’, but I think Sue (and Liz) hogged the camera somewhat! What you won’t see is Sue’s reaction when Caroline asked me if I felt “overwhelmed” by the amount of work involved. Hopefully, you’ll hear my reply!!

PS Just before Caroline and the team came, our ewe Mary Mary had twin lambs – one girl, one boy – so we christened them Caroline and Quentin! I think she got the joke.

PPS You only have until Friday 29th September to vote for us for RHS Partner Garden of the Year. Scan this or https://www.rhs.org.uk/gardens/partner-gardens/rhs-partner-garden-of-the-year
