This is what happens if your coach driver doesn’t check out the route to Nant y Bedd before he sets off.
Despite a friendly local farmer dragging him out of the mess, the poor group from Cardiff never did get here to enjoy their long-awaited visit and luscious tea and cakes.
It is perfectly possible to arrive by coach, but just needs a little planning on behalf of the coach company. If you are planning a coach transport visit, don’t come via Crickhowell – as this one tried – but via the A465 through Llanfihangel Crucorney.
Brings to mind the immortal words of Michael Caine in The Italian Job “Hang on a minute lads. I’ve got a Great idea!” If you don’t remember it, Google it.
