They said it! or Blowing Our Own Trumpet
It’s been a while since we added anything to the blog, but that’s because we’ve been so busy getting ready for the first Open Day in just two weeks time (Sunday May 10 11-5pm). The recent, unseasonably, clement weather has seen us in the garden from dawn till dusk – well almost.
There’s loads of pictures to upload, both of planned and planted bits and of natural flowers in the woods and by the river, but for now here’s a short selection of the comments in our Visitors Book from previous Open Garden days – in no particular order, just ones I like.
A really wonderful garden, so sympathetic to the natural environment.
Magical! A wonderful place to sit and write : to walk and look!
Such an original and delightful garden.
The planting in the garden is so natural and beautiful – so glad we came.
Such flair and imaginative design
Beautiful and inspiring – I love the way the gardens blend back into the forest.
Delightful, whimsical garden – full of surprises.
What an inspiration!
The best Open Garden in Gwent!!
Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.
Splendid use of a difficult site.
Can I move in!! I love it!!
Completely gorgeous! You’ve gladdened my dampened gardening efforts!
This is just the sort of garden I hope to see on my NGS visits.
Well worth the drive!
Love the sound of water running everywhere – so peaceful.
This is just a very small selection from a host of wonderful comments and we hope they inspire you to visit in the same way that the garden seems to inspire those who have already visited.
We look forward to seeing you on May 10th – or on the other Open Days on July 19th and September 13th. Come in May and get a reduced price ‘season ticket’ for the other two dates!!
